Where does SCP operate?

SCP is located in Regina Saskatchewan and serves youth in Regina and surrounding communities. We at SCP are grateful to work, live, play and grow on Treaty 4 territory, traditional lands of the NĂŞhiyawak (‘nay-hi-ya-way’; Cree), AnihĹĄināpēk (‘a-nish-naa-bay’; Saulteaux,), Lakota, Dakoda and Nakoda and and on the homeland of the MĂŠtis/Michif Nation. 

Who does SCP provide services to?
SCP serves individuals under the age of 21. We offer a variety of housing and non-housing programs, services, and mentorship to young people.
SCP provides housing and shelter services to youth 16-18 years of age as well as a variety of mentorship or programming services to anyone 8 years old to 21 years old depending on the program.

 

What approach does SCP use with the individuals they serve?
SCP’s utilizes four strength-based and person-centered approaches to Youth Care;
  • We are Trauma-Informed
  • We are Youth Centered
  • We utilize Nurtured Heart Approach
  • We utilize Harm Reduction
How can I get involved with SCP?
There are many ways you can get involved with SCP either through employment, volunteer, or student practicum!

Do you Still Do Work in the Community, like build fences?

The short answer is, Yes we do! Please get in touch with Mike at the Office to discuss further. Please Note: This answer will be updated with expanded information shortly. We’re doing BIG things in the Construction and Reno space and we’re excited to talk about it, and glad you asked!
