Mari Petroski

Mari Petroski

Executive Director | Status of Women Office

Mari was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and spent time in Lesotho, South Africa as a child. She is passionate about people and learning about equity, diversity, and inclusion. She has a Masters in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in Sociology and Religious Studies. She has also has training in Portfolio and Change Management practices. Mari has worked in many different fields and has experience in marketing, policy, project management, and leadership.

Cassandra Klassen

Cassandra Klassen

Principal Prairies Health | Accenture

Cassie was born in Saskatoon and raised in Swift Current, SK. She attended SIAST and earned her diploma in Health Information Management and, later on, a certification in PROSCI (Change Management). Currently, she works in the healthcare industry as a management consultant. Cassie joined the SCP Board of Directors in September 2020 and is passionate about volunteering in the community. In her spare time, Cassie likes to hang out with her dogs, spend time with family and friends and, if the weather is nice, hit the beach and relax.

‍Fun Fact: Cassandra has broken every toe (on both feet) at least once!

Randine Akapew

Randine Akapew

Government of Canada

Randine is a member of the Little Black Bear First Nation, raised in the Balcarres and Fort Qu’Appelle area. She obtained a BSW from the University of Regina, worked in the nonprofit industry before moving to government. She has experience in front line child welfare, facilitation, crisis intervention, and project management, and currently works for the Government of Canada. Randine loves being involved with the community, and has a passion for working with children, youth and families, which makes her a perfect fit for SCP! In her spare time, Randine likes to refinish furniture, take on tiny renovation projects, and spend time with friends and family.

‍Fun Fact: Randine is meticulous and thorough. She ran QCM half marathon twice, to ensure that she did not really enjoy running, and is contemplating signing up again, just to be really, really sure.
