Workplace Help and Mentoring

Workplace Help and Mentoring (WHAM) is an employment program designed to connect young adults—ages 15-29—who are looking for job opportunities by providing them with life skills and hands-on employment experience. The goal of the program is to prepare them for the workforce by fostering mentoring relationships and exposing them to the daily routines of paid employment; thus, helping to remove many of the barriers they encounter. This program dovetails our Construction Services and Yard Care Teams.

All of us at SCP are so proud of Tara Leggott for her finalist status for the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards!!

Tara is our UBER talented Red Seal Carpenter, who leads our construction team on each & every job. As well as assisting in teaching youth job skills when they volunteer on her crew! She is such a kind, creative, driven & fun person to be around & we are more than lucky each day to have her in our SCP Family!

See what else we’re up to!
