Who is this for?
Youths (16-24) are referred to Y-Shore through the Centralized Housing Intake Process (CHIP) group or directly to us.
Youth Supported Housing Operations Resource Education
Y-SHORE (The Youth Supported Housing Operations Resource Education) assists individuals 16-24 referred to us by the CHIP (Centralized Housing Intake Process) table transition from homeslessness into independence. We help navigate the confusing and often overwhelming process of finding housing by setting up viewings, budgeting for necessities and learning how to be a respectful tenant. We also place a focus on setting individuals up with support within the community to help the youth feel valuable and appreciated with the confidence to continually work on their educational, work and sobriety goals.
*Homeless youth refers to youth who are staying at the shelter, couch surfing with friends, sleeping rough, or do not have a permanent place to stay.
