I wear two distinct hats at SCP. The first provides the agency with all things it needs to function operationally, from resource procurement and allocation to implementation of strategic direction. The second hat is directing our Construction Services Team in generating revenue to help fund our programs.

I have 2 great passions. 1) My family.... I have a loving wife and son with our three dogs and two cats. We love to travel and take every opportunity to do so. 2) My Motorcycle ..... I love my motorcycle, and when not with my family I can be found chasing sunsets or working in my garage.

I work with anything financial. Payroll, cheques, petty cash. I account for every penny that rolls in and out.

I love the work I do here and the people I work with. I'm not sure if you know this but......I laugh and smile a lot.

As the Staffing Coordinator for SCP's Youth Shelter, my job is to provide support for staff by following guidelines, offering coaching, and keeping a detailed tracking log of steps taken to remove barriers. I am also responsible for maintaining the schedule, finding coverage, scheduling training, progressive discipline, interviewing staff for any open Shelter positions, and keeping track of staff's work, which I use during their reviews.

Humor is a big part of my personality, so if can be joked about, I probably will. I like to live a calm life and will probably stay in with some snacks and a tv show rather than go out. I've spent 15+ years in printing, and they are yet to find out that I'm colourblind. I'm not overly passionate about anything in particular but rather equally interested in multiple things.

I oversee SCP's Housing program! I have the pleasure of leading an amazing team of housing staff who tirelessly and unconditionally care for our youth; I liase with external organizations and, with the help of my team, I am always finding ways to develop our Housing program to fit the ever-evolving needs of our youth, our staff, and our community.

I've always been a big proponent of outdoor activities. I have a special interest in target shooting, and when I'm not working at SCP, I am often facilitating Firearms Safety Courses and sharing my knowledge with people newly interested in the sport. I grew up on a farm and have spent much of my life camping, hiking, hunting, and spending time with animals. Being in nature and with animals has always been something that has healed my heart in the hard times and helped me see the beauty in the world when it feels dark. I love plants, and those who know me know that I have an obscenely large houseplant collection, and I spend a lot of time sitting in the sun surrounded by plants. A little sunshine can go a long way.

As the Housing Staffing Coordinator, my role encompasses scheduling, implementing housing approaches, conducting check-ins, maintaining training standards, ensuring quality control, and providing mentorship and coaching to staff. Through these responsibilities, I strive to contribute to the overall success of SCP housing and the well-being of the residents.

A fascinating tidbit about me, I am completely obsessed with the Enigmatic world of the Enneagram Personality system! I happen to be an Enneagram 8, also known as "The Challenger" At first, I must admit, I had a touch of worry due to the negative traits often associated with this type! As I dove deep into the layers of the Enneagram, I was delighted to discover the extraordinary and awe-inspiring traits that the Enneagram 8 possesses. The Enneagram has helped me unearth the depths of my own identity and provided me with profound insights into the beautiful complexities of others.

My role centers around harnessing the power of data to drive impactful transformations in our community. I help others in efficiently gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information, turning it into valuable insights that drive our mission forward. My work ensures that we leverage data to make evidence-based decisions, ultimately creating a more nurturing and enriching atmosphere for our youth.

When I'm not immersed in the world of spreadsheets, forms and reports, you'll likely find me adventuring in the realms of medieval and fantasy role-playing games such as CK3 and the Witcher series. These games satisfy my thirst for complex narratives and strategic thinking, providing a perfect counterpoint to my professional life. As for companions on these quests? Look no further than my feline friends. As a devoted cat lover, I can assure you there's no better company for a late-night gaming session. Meow.

My role is to support staff across the agency to feel valued, connected, safe and informed. I love my job because I get to connect with every team across the agency and build opportunities for relational connection.

My family holds the biggest part of my heart, and I have loved the journey of being a husband and father to two beautiful kids, Abel and Holly and my loving partner Stacey. When I am not spending time with my family, you can catch me riding my bike around the city or on the dusty gravel roads of our beautiful province.

I have had the opportunity to lead the Mentorship team for the past five years, and I could not love my job more. Not only do I get to meet youth and learn about them and their stories, but I also get to assist and witness in helping them build potentially life-changing healthy relationships with their mentors. One of my favourite aspects of my job is also that I get to make connections with the youth's caregivers - this is extremely important to me and has been a highlight in my role!

I am a mom to two boys named Zephyr and Cove. I have a partner that I love very much, he is my best friend. A dog mom to my big gal, Tuesday and a cat mom to my kitty, Indigo. I am into lifting weights and playing sports. I love to travel and explore the world as much as I can, and I absolutely love being in nature. Big into dark humour and someone who can appreciate a good joke!

Regina Connected Youth (RCY) is mandated to work with youth going through the Youth Criminal Justice System and have an active Youth Probation Order. RCY is labelled as a "community connections" program under the Ministry of Justice, and we really try to put the "C" in "RCY." I spend my days streamlining processes for our youth to more easily move through their probation responsibilities and allow our mentors to more easily focus on engagement and relationship building. We really focus on the analogy of "leading a horse to water," where our goal is to build an oasis that our youth can see for miles around. We also believe in the power of "vibe" and approach it with almost a scientific mindset, where we attempt to create an atmosphere that breeds community and connection.

I would consider my foremost identity to be that of a philosopher, Latin for "lover of knowledge." As such, I want to learn as much as I can in life for no other reason than I enjoy the satisfaction of knowing something I did not previously. I find that the more I engage in this mentality, the more I get out of it, and have really come to appreciate the term "the more I learn, the less I know." Furthermore, we live in a time with an unprecedented amount of access to information, allowing us to combine ideas in ways that history has not permitted until now. I very much enjoy synthesizing ideas in order to eliminate the negative aspects of them and create something greater than any of the individual parts, ie. holism. To this end, I adore studying the practices of warrior philosophers (Vikings, samurai, spartans, etc.) who combine the intellectualism of philosophy with the spirit of physical prowess and skill to create a very unique and admirable way of living..... I also read and think a lot if that wasn't obvious lol

I work with a wonderful team that helps our city's most vulnerable homeless population, 16-24yr olds find housing. We work with CAR (Coordinated Access Regina), which refers individuals to us in order to help them get funding, find housing and begin working on goals our participants have for their lives. Local landlords and community resources wrap around our participants to help them feel involved and important to our community, and it always makes the YSHORE team smile when we get to hand keys over on move-in day!

Live life with my favourite person in the world, my partner Steve who always keeps me on my toes. Growing up in a small town, I enjoy getting out of the city sometimes, even if it's a random drive with no destination in mind to enjoy this wonderful province we call home. Another love of my life is food. All of it, any of it, at any given time, makes my heart happy, even if not so much my wallet.

I get to do the best of both worlds each day- I get to assist youth with finding housing and working on their goals plus I also get to do "behind the scenes" kind of work. Collaborating with others to assist my coworkers and our youth by attending meetings/trainings, doing case management and helping to ensure that budgets are adhered to.

Pretty sure most people are aware that my main focus is on my cat, Linda. She's pretty awesome. Also, I have a husband and two kids. They're great too. I like being active with skating, golf and bike riding but travelling is my main hobby. Go Leafs Go!!
