Frequently Asked Questions
How do I refer a youth to SCP’s programs?
All program referrals must go through the Ministry of Social Services. Call 306.787.3760, press 2 for more info.
Can youth go directly to the shelter?
Yes! Youth aged 15 to 17 needing immediate shelter can come directly to our shelter or call 1.306.545.3445. Our staff will help connect them to services. Youth under 15 are unable to be housed at our shelter, but we can direct them to appropriate support and services. Youth 18 and older are encouraged to seek adult services.
How can I support Street Culture Project?
You can donate, volunteer, or support our social enterprise, SCP Construction. Learn more here.
Can any youth enter your programs?
Our programs have specific referral pathways:
-
Housing: Only available for youth connected to the Ministry of Social Services. If a youth is not yet connected, we can help guide them. However, we cannot provide housing without a Ministry referral.
-
Mentorship Programs (YTU & Mentorship): Require Ministry involvement.
-
Regina Connected Youth (RCY): For youth involved in the justice system.
-
YShore: Youth must be connected through C.A.R. We receive referrals directly and do not choose participants.
