As an SCP's Youth Support Worker, your primary role is to provide trauma-informed, strength-based, relationship-focused, and youth-centred support to the residents of SCP's shelter. You will supervise, engage with, and ensure all youth needs are met. Reporting on youth progress and administration is required. In the Team Support Worker role, you will be responsible for supporting case management plans, assisting with programming development and delivery, supporting/assisting youth with activities of daily living and life skill development, and modelling/championing positive relationships and healthy choices. Before the end of your shift, you are responsible for documenting all pertinent information and communicating pressing concerns to the case management team.

Fund Developer

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fund Development Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in networking and building relationships, have a passion for working for organizations that benefit individual lives and the community, and be passionate about SCP’s mission. The Fund Development Specialist will be responsible for raising awareness of and support for SCP. Their duties will include researching grants, sponsorships, corporate giving and other development opportunities, stewardship and recognition, capital campaigns, prospect research, planned giving, special events, and direct mail fund development opportunities. They are expected to comply with industry standards and best practices while adhering to all SCP policies in the completion of the duties and responsibilities of their position.

 

This is a new position to the organization. It provides the incumbent with the opportunity to build a fund development program from the ground up. This is an excellent opportunity for junior fund developers to gain valuable experience in the field.

As a YTU Caseworker, you will provide 1:1 support to a caseload of 4-5 youths, ages 16-21, as they work to build the life skills, healthy relationships, and community connections necessary to successfully transition to independence. You will identify gaps in resources and barriers to success, then develop and implement case plans to support the goals that align with each participant’s unique vision of success. As an Overnight Youth Support in one of SCP’s Peer-homes, you will provide supervision and support to a maximum of 5 youths between the ages of 16-21 from the hours of 11 pm to 9 am.
