Helping At Risk Youth

The Y-SHORE (The Youth Supported Housing Operations Resource Education) Program helps individuals 16-24 referred to us by CHIP (Centralized Housing Intake Process) transition from homelessness into independence. We help young people navigate the confusing and often overwhelming process of finding housing by setting up viewings, budgeting for necessities and learning how to be a respectful tenant. We also focus on setting individuals up with support within the community to help them feel valued and appreciated with the confidence to continually work on their educational, work and sobriety goals.

At SCP, we believe that every young person has the potential to do something great. We know that when you have a stable home, you feel empowered to pursue your dreams and work toward your goals. That's why we do everything we can to help young people in Regina transition from homelessness into independence and feel joyful about their future.

*Homeless youth refers to youth who are staying at the shelter, couch surfing with friends, sleeping rough, or do not have a permanent place to stay.
